My name is Jody Bruce. I have spent my career working in internet marketing, software, and project management. I am 48 years old and I am looking to acquire a business of my own. I am looking for a business that has a strong track record, solid core values, and where the owner is looking to exit due to retirement.

I believe there can be a lot of advantages to selling your business to individuals (like myself and my wife) as oppose to private equity. Some examples are: preserving the business's long-term vision and legacy, more flexible terms and conditions, and a fast and smooth transition.

I grew up in Michigan working in several small businesses that belonged to my grandparents and then my parents. I knew someday I always wanted a business of my own. I would like to grow it to something I can proudly pass down to my children.

I received my MBA from Northwood University in Michigan and a Master's degree in Computer Information Systems from Northwestern. Now I live with my wife and two children in the Chicago suburbs.
